Which trans cooler would you guys recommend for a TH350 behind a 355 in a 80 El Camino which is a daily driver/ work vehicle that WILL tow a small trailer with 50 gallons of water, pressure washer and detailing equipment.
Here are two I have in mind but not sure if either is good and if so then which one?
1.) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLX-4120/?rtype=10
2.)http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-404/?rtype=10

Also my second question is, what kind of converter would you guys recommend? Like I mentioned this is a daily driver with a 355 that will push around 330-350 HP I am hoping and light towing here and there. Cam wise it will have no more than 450 lift so a basic low torque street cam is all.

Thanks a lot for any information here guys!

I would use a plate type cooler instead of a tube type if I had the chose. Here's some b&m's http://www.summitracing.com/search/Product-Line/B-M-SuperCooler-Oil-Coolers/?keyword=Cooler

Thanks for the info and link, I will take your advice on this. How would this one do: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-70255/
I guess I will just use the hose type instead of the fitting so that way I can try and run this thing in FRONT of the radiator and A/C condenser somehow.
With the hose type do I just cut the flared end off the stock lines now and take off the threaded part and just hose clamp this puppy on? Also, any advantages of running this in front of the radiator and such instead of behind?

I would definitely run it in the front of the radiator. You want that thing to get as much of the air as possible. The radiator will have plenty of air coming through it so not to worry about that. I have mine in front of the radiator. I left my ends flared on my lines. I just pushed the lines up far enough to get a nice seal and the double clamped them. I have never had a leak from them at all. This has been over 10 years also.

Great thanks for the info. I will go ahead and leave the flared ends and the threaded part on and pushed back. I guess I will go ahead and order this thing in the next day or two. There is one that is one size bigger than the one I just posted (Part number B&M 70268). I am going to purchase that one I believe and double clamp it like you said and run it in FRONT of the radiator and condenser. dancin_banana.gif

I will look into a gauge when I get the funds, great idea! Excelerator, any info on the cooler you have for sale such as part number, mileage on it, price, etc? I am very interested since I have not ordered mine from Summit yet.
Thanks!
