Hi friends, just though I would share what I have going on with my swap, I recently had a bbc 496 with 2 kits but from a bad tune on my behalf I lifted some ringlands on the pistons, I just didnt want to deal with fixing the old thing so the decision was made to go ls. Its not the ol conventional swap every body else is doing but when theres no concern about cutting things up a little the sky is the limit to achive the same goal. so heres some pics.

Nice build! I hate seeing carb's on LS engines but your build is pretty darn cool. Did you do the welding yourself?

thanks guys, yah I do all my own fabing, since I was a kid I always had the dream of welding things together, then finally It happened, took some schooling to learn a little, but don't do it for a living, just for hobbies. Currently I'm starting to build a second hf tig welder out of parts from a industrial junk yard, building welders is kinda a second hobby. I know what you mean about the carb thing, I really dont have to much time to learn about tunning EFI right now, I only get to the track once a month 5 times a year, this car is more of a max effort drag car so I felt I could get it tuned faster with something I understand a little more. There s a lot of benifits to efi, my other ls motor has it and i did learn some stuff about it so I 'm not in the dark with it, there was a deal I coundnt refuse on the blow thru set up, so thats why the car is getting it. I do have plans in the future to go EFI, just not now, not this far in the build.

Some updates, The real motor is now complete and is in, the msd 6010 wire harness installed and all the basics are bolted on. just a few things left like the o2 sensor bung, mount data logger and msd box and am still waiting for a y fitting to complete the fuel system, oh ya, build the cold side plumbing, should'nt be to hard thou without a intercooler.
