What about a shifter from a GN or T Type including the cnter console. Or adapt a 4th gen center console and shifter.
GN console would work if people weren't trying to get rich off them :x
I got a pic of 1 with a late model grand prix console and it looks pretty good in there. But I'd love to keep the bench, tilt the wheel up and wammo.. head room :lol:

Depending on what year ls engine youre running you can use the 98' F-body fuel unit which has the regulator mounted in the tank and it only uses one line which does both the feeding and returning of the fuel.
Just use a camaro console from an IROC, they match up with the bottom of the dashes in our g-bodys. Then you can run one of their shifters or maybe an aftermarket shifter for the six or 4spd.

I don't see why you couldn't use the factory column linkage, so long as the shifter detent on the 4L60E is the same as the 200R4 or 350. I'd get new plastic bushings from a dealer to take out any slop though on the frame bracket & in the shifter rods.
