Camaro headers,
Trandapt makes motor mounts,
Truck oil pan fits fairly well,
Auto transmission is just an electronic 700r-4 Call iceman for a proper member,
Slightly shorter driveshaft,
Plumb a return to the tank and use a pump from GMPP available as a retro fit kit.
Speedo is a different deal. I'm going to use a factory GM truck instrument cluster and all of the factory harnesses for heat and windows and locks.

If using an after market harness then you should be able to use an Autometer electronic programable speedo.

GM dealer has a manual available for converting any car to LSx for $30.

should I look for a 4l80 or stick with the 4l60?

Think I'd stick with manifolds for simplicity.. you say driveshaft, is that based on the trans x-member?

what are drive by wire lsx's?

what about a carbed ls1??

I have a good 4L60 and converter from a 2001 Z28 if interested. I bought the car and parted it for my turbo project. Will be getting a 6 speed to put behind it though

I want the overdrive.

I'd like to know about putting the 6spd in it, how much of a pita is doing the pedal assembly, and how does the pedal work the clutch since it's hydraulic?

pedal/hydraulics are cake for a 6speed, get a pedal from John Bzdel and mount the master on the firewall using 388bu's template.

i found this in a post on LS1tech, supposedly these schoenfeld headers fit g-body's > http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/LS1-STREET.htm

here's the thread on ls1tech > http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641108
