fusible link

i had a short against the header and im gonna replace it with a fuse
what size do i use?
anybody know?

The parts stores carry replacement fusible links, I would recommend using one of those. They carry a large amount of current but still protect the harness in case of a dead short. A fuse to replace it would have to be a large amp rating and still might blow under a high load.
