Courtesy lighting delay upgrade question

Bump for more info, handy feature that makes em feel a lot newer. Would like to know more about how they integrate. My elco has one but it only started working after a day under the dash with a soldering iron, undoing the work of previous owners.

I actually got kinda mad because after fixing all that hackery.....I'd made the dome light stay on. Somewhere in the midst of the second consolation beer finally figured out it had the delay box. Jeeeez. An 81 chevy with delay lights with a vinyl interior and manual locks? Huh? Who ordered that car?

I should look into this myself 8) Do they simply shut off or do they fade out?

mine simply shut off. I am in the garage as I type, fixing and rewiring the Buick. I have been adding all the power goodies and lights. I don't have the parts for the dome light delay though.
