i have a 1985 with a v6 just change the carb. but a having problem starts nice and everything but when i put it in drive and starts takeing off the engine whants to turn off it only does it on the take off. any sugestions. :roll: ](*,) :-k
idle set to low, timing, vac leak, vac line on the wrong port for the distributor, did you put on a rebuilt carb? Might be a accelerator pump issue as well,, matty man 8)

If everything checks out, timing, vac lines ect,,, then sounds like a bad carb, if you got it at a parts store check with them on how to do the exchange, should not be a problem,, but check every thing, base gasket, lines, good fuel pressure? If all cks, get another carb,, let us know it turns out,, matty man 8)
