I think you can get away without screws.. maybe into the mid/low 9's?

Use spray tach gasket adhesive on the bead of the tire/rim and mount. It'll keep them from spinning on the rim and save your wheels.

i've had to use them going 12's..haha hooked hard and we marked the tires and rims, moved about 1" each pass. i've had a tire break the bead going low 9's about half way down the track without screws and it wasn't fun. mark your tire to the valve stem and see if they move any.

rim screws are needed IMO
13s and faster with slicks,I have seen 12 second cars spint the tires on the rims,hard charging cars need them even more

I usually run 8 per side and I install with a centerpunch and a ruler
to make a PizzaPie like pattern
