Rear sway bar question ?

Have a 83' monte carlo that has 410 gears, mini spool, and jegster (ssm) bars. Do you think a rear sway bar would necessary for traction? Found a decent deal on a rear sway bar and wondering if you guys would think its worth it? How many people on here use one? My car is not running at the moment so no way to test out either way----

It will help against twist/body roll (not sure about traction though, mine doesn't seem to do much but I'm also running old worn out tires), an air bag in the passenger rear spring will also help.
