Does a 78 malibu and a 87 regal use the same gas tank? I am thinking of doing an LT1 swap and I think it would be the easiest way to go for the fuel tank. Just get an 87 turbo regal tank with and internal electric fuel pump and run the new lines.

I am 75% into installing a ls 2 into a buick grand national... that motor sure fills up the engine bay. it sure looks good. i left the ls 2 the way it came out of the gto. i wanted to keep the fuel injection system. the wiring has been the hardest to get done

good luck
