LS1 into a G-body who has done it?

which years are the best? I seen a 99 vette engine for sale for $1800 w/40,000 miles? Also I know most of the newer ones are lfy by wire, would I need a cable throttle body?

Any year is ok, but i like 01-02 the best,better heads and a few other things, I put a carb on mine so cant help ya with the fi.

I plan to put a turbo'd LS1 in my 67 Chevelle project next year. Have everything except the turbo right now. I sold it to fund the malibu build

I drive my LS2 in my GTO everyday and it just isnt the same... I'm jonesing to get this powerplant into an old metric metal POS.. hahaha...

Headers are an issue too..

Only issue is the oil pan and acc brackets... and the oil pan issues appears to be solved. Schoedfeld makes the headers. I was going to put mine into my coupe but I think the Malibu wins... may buy another to put into the coupe eventually but the Bu needs to run.........
