I tried searching, but I can't find my answer. Hopefully someone can help. What is the difference between front end brake/hub components? I have a 81 Malibu and want to freshen up the front end. (new bushings, joints, tie rods, brake stuff, etc) When I look up rotors and wheel bearings, the 81 malibu list part numbers than say a 84 regal (which I have for extra parts). Does anyone know exactly what the difference is? They look the same on a visual inspection. :-k

Only the '78 spindles are different. They use different wheel bearings, too. AFAIK, all else is the same with the exception of the change from SAE to metric wheel studs in '82...

I actually ended up pulling both apart tonight and comparing them before seeing this. I found the same. Thanks for the info.
