What did U do to your G-body today??

swapped in upper and lower control arms with taller ball joints.

I worked on bending the new passenger door edges to get it straight. I applied body filler to low areas.

I spent all day taping off body parts and touching up the bottom of my 81 with 3M Body Schutz. Finished it all but even with a pair of Tyvek coveralls Im covered with it.

I made it to the dragstrip on sunday and made two passes. Went a 13.59 on motor and 12.60 on the nitrous. It was a fun day we had a blast.

Pulled up low area on passenger front fender.

Decided to get the 267 ready to slap into the 'Bu so i can drive it until i finish the 229...

And well...its now a long block. Getting a used performer cam & intake along with a new chain (old one was trashed even at 50k) my Holley 390 that I originally bought for the 229, random shorty heddman headers ( i hope they fit) my old Proform "race" distributor. I also gasket matched the intake ports....yeah i know its a 267...but why not have some fun and see what happens?

Pushed the car outside to wash the dust and salt off.

Are you going to want to go back to the 229?

Yeah. I may go a little deeper into the build now and I upgrade the bottom end so i can throw more boost at it then I originally planned

why not just turbo the 267??
