Wiper Motor Issue

My Elcamino is an 82, it has wiper delay motor. When it rains, I turn on the wipers, and they move partly up windshield & back down, constantly, try to shut off, it won't stop, it's like they are possessed.

If I get out and pull the arms, it will go crazy fast...The only way to stop them is shut the car down for a couple of minutes...

It has done this for awhile, I swapped out the motor with another from j-yard, still no difference.

Are the arms any good, what do i test?

Check the ground, that was the problem with mine.

Exorcise... Spell check must be posessed, too. I don't remember what causes the intermittant stall. The ground is a good place to start.
