TRANS BREAK WONT HOLD

I'm assuming a t-350/400 trans here, not a glide. And if that is the case, backing up with the button means nothing. My t-400 backs up in reverse without a button. Granted the manufacturer recommends using the button in neutral to back up, it will back up in reverse. It doesn't take much for that. SO a leaking solenoid valve or anything like that is a possible cause of the brake not working.
