Trans Am rear disc brake, is it worth changing over to them

I looked at some S10 rear disc brake today. Looks like if I put these on a 12 bolt rearend they will push the rims out futher. Maybe by 1/2 in. or so.

Track width will only change with the difference of the thickness of the rotor vs drum.

really ?? That would have to be one hell of a thick spacer to push it out that far.

The LS1 setup has the exact same offset as the factory drums and really kind of eliminates the chance of a C-clip coming out because the caliper bracket would hold everything in.

Check out the link below. The F-body rear housing is different than the g-body but the end flanges are the same so it all applies. This setup does not work well with lowered cars and it will take some engineering to get the parking brake to work and function ( if you use one ) but for the $200.00 I paid for all the parts used from fleabay it's well worth the time and money. Every fbody from 98-03 used these brakes on the rear so they are plentiful and replacement parts are cheap.
