Steering column swap

Fieros use the same/similar key release lever, I'm thinking of getting one from one of the local yards and seeing about putting the mechanism from the Fiero on my current column (tilt auto floor shift), I just don't know about that tube/bracket that connects to the auto shifter linkage.

Everything has to come out, except for the shaft. The inside tube that connects to the collar that rotates is pressed into that collar. That tube comes out through the bottom.

Here are pictures of the 2 columns that Roy has.

The first one is his current automatic column. The second one is of the manual transmission column. The only difference I see is the pink wire has a black stripe in one of harnesses and has no stripe in the other. I don't think there will be any problem.
