rear lowering springs falling out?

I put a pair of lowering springs in the rear. with weight on the rear ok, but if i don't jack up on the rear diff they fall out of place. i still have factory size shocks in the rear, should i try find shorter ones so they max out before the coils?

i did that same thing with my elcamino,put the 2inch shorter spring in the rear only to pull the springs out by hand upon letting the jack down on stands!someone said to make a limiter out of cable but thats not my speed,i ended up calling summit and they sent me some nitro active shocks,there a bell tech product.it will work for now.if you look on edelbrocks website,they have an extensive! "conversion" chart for custom apps.its huge!i'd like to upgrade in the future myself i think i'm going to call tech there and see if they can help me out. best of luck.
