i'm putting a nwc t5 into my 86 cutlass. i have the hydraulic bellhousing and master line and 3rd gen pedals. i have mechanical linkage pedals too. i'm comparing them and found that 3rd gen pedels have a lot of issues to bolt them in the car.

i'm wondering what you guys did for the pedals and more importantly what modifications were needed for the firewall... ya know measure twice and drill once. :D

kevin, (85 ss) i have studied what you have done for this. can you give me a few tips... ? i am near by even for telephone. if ya get a chance.

i'll get some pics up of what i have shortly.. thanks again.

i have looked around for this topic and write ups... send me a hot link if ya think it may help... thanks.

i can make the 3rd gen pedals AND bracket work with a lot of mods... if i need to to have hydraulic linkage.

There are 16 pages of guys who've done the swap. Bernie (sickspeedmonte) fabbed his own pedal setup. If you want to bolt up just a pedal then you may want to look for John B. (you can search the web for him

I never considered putting the F body pedals in the G body bracket. It looks like it works out well.

The problem I have noticed with F body pedals installed is that they seemed to be a bit high, but perhaps that is not an issue if they are installed in the G body bracket.

By the way, the bracket is the same for both automatic and manual transmission. The stop for the clutch pedal is a bolt-on part.
