Just looked up what this hose is suppoesed to fit. It is for 1999-2003 Ford trucks with the 7.3 diesel. Looks like I will always have a spare at the track or on the way home.

hmm it looks like its a good fit but i can't help but wonder the other end of that hose is listed as 2" that's a half inch to squeeze?
22542 is 1.75 at both ends and works on the radiators that have a 1.75 lower tubes, like the universal GM radiators from Jegs, or like the one described earlier in the post.
No pinching 1/2". If you need one that fits 1.5 lower tubes, use the stock one

It is the upper hose for the 7.3, not the lower one, just happens to be perfect for the lower in our case
oh my mistake!i just automatically looked at the lower hose 
i do need a hose that's 1-3/4 on both ends.im totally gonna check this out,i had to fight my lower stock one on with the griffin radiator.thank you very much some folks on here(myself included) will find this useful
