My rotors were around $60.00 each. Calipers were around $25.00 each. Both purchased from my local parts store.

did the 1990 caprice come with differant size rotors? or can i just go to a junk yard and get the spindles without worring about it?
I believe they still came with 11" and 12" rotors in 1990. Just take a tape measure along to be sure. Most wagons had 12" rotors and the big bearing spindles FYI.

Is there anything else from a caprice that you can use on or for a malibu?

If i'm not mistaken i think a buddy of mine, his mom has one that they are going to get rid of, maybe this could work to my advantage :D

it doesn't show in the catalogue, just call and ask, thats what i had to do... and in answer, yes it's basically the same arm with the flat part for the ball joint flipped over

I have posted this parts list a bunch of times. Maybe we can get a "sticky" so I don't have to keep wearing out the "search" ?

Here's the B-body/1LE swap info:

The 1LE rotors are 12". Any year IROC Camaro or the same years of WS6 Trans AM should get you the right rotors. For upper A-arms and springs I used Global West's stuff.

Here's the parts list I used:

Spindles and calipers are from 12" brake 78-90 full size Caprice, Caddy, Delta 88, and Pontiac. Typically wagon, police or with HD towing package.

Brake calipers, (1)#18-4021, (1)#18-4020

Brake flex hoses, #BH36848

Brake caliper hose bolts, #483-205

Brake pads, # D52 ( I used Performance Friction pads)

Brake rotors, 1LE, #5994

Wheel bearings, 1LE inner, #BR6

Wheel bearings, 1LE outer, #BR3

Bearing seals, 1LE, #19753

Hub grease caps, 1LE, #13977

If you're tearing down the steering too, here's the part #s:

Tie rod, inner, 78 Malibu, #ES2034L

Tie rod, outer, 78 Malibu, #ES2033R

Centerlink, 78 Malibu, #DS909

Idler arm, 78 Malibu, #FA1013

Ball joint, lower, 78 Malibu, #FA3000

The tubular upper A-arms required should have ball joints already installed.

this might sound stupid,
but are those GM part numbers, or numbers from a local autoparts store?
