YES IT IS! Maybe mine would have lasted longer with a support cover. I think that high 11's is all you will get out of a 7.5. But I could be wrong. I didn't think mine would last 10 years.

I see guys over at LS1tech saying that they are running 10's on the stock rear end pulling 1.4 60 foot times, what gives?

Although f-bodies aren't exactly lightweights, an often overlooked piece of the 7.5" puzzle is the amount of weight it is having to shove. There is a huge difference between pushing 3400 lbs in anger and 2800 lbs.

My point was that if one wants to run a substandard axle then one should attempt to shed as much weight as possible.
