Dog dish caps for a 78?

Did any models come w/ dod dishes on plain steel wheels?

I don't think so. I think the "Starburst" 14" hub cap was standard till 80 or 81.

9C1 "Fleet" cars *may* have had poverty caps.

That 'starburst' full wheel cover was a $43 option on my '79.

I don't know if Malibu's came with the dog dish caps from the factory or not, but if you want something period correct they did come on other Chevy's. Mine came stock on an '81 Impala.

Yes, The 79-81 Malibu had a standard hub cap ( Dog dish). I dont have any info on the 78 But im sure it had a standard hub cap (dog dish). Doug

hard to see in the pic but they came on my 80. They were the standard wheel for the base malibus
