Thanks for the tips guys. I'm doing this on a budget and can't afford to let the body shop do it all so I think I will git after it on saturday and see how it turns out. Pics will follow soon afterwards. Rodney....

Buy a decent block (or two). Hand sanding will make all kinds of waves and dips.

Personally, I like durablocks

Thanks ribbedroof. I do have the block already and have heard not to use your fingers because of the waves and dips. I've always paid to have my rides painted in the past but my budget has gotten tight with this slow economy and just tryin to learn a bit more about the paint and body thang. I can and have took em down to the frame and put them back together but that painting craft has eluded me!
