Can I get a little cyl head ID help guys????

I've got a bunch of heads laying around for small blocks. Got some numbers, got some id sites but don't completely understand them HELP!!!!!!

1st 3927185 so far I've figured out there 69-76 307/327/350 70CC (pair)

2nd 333882 these are supposed to be 74-80 76CC that's all I've got (pair)

3rd 3986388 68-76 307/350 that's it for those (I've only got one)

4th 3973487 71-72 350 75CC (possible used on 71 330/350 lt1) (I've only got 1 of these)


I'm wondering how I know what they are, 993, 441, 487 ect... Is it just in the last numbers of the casting or what? Are the first two (the ones I have pairs of) worth keeping???

Oh yeah, right now Ive got 462624 on mine, there supposed to be 75-86 350/400 76CC's are these other ones better???

The last three numbers are the ones you need to look at. Back about 15 years ago, a set of 882 or 993 heads were a good choice if you didn't have access to 186s or 461s (fuelie). Back then a good set of Sportsman IIs would set you back $1500! Now the aftermarket stuff is so cheap that I wouldn't even mess with OE.

yeah, I'm just tryn to figure out if these are worth keepin or just gettin rid of. Eventually I'm gonna start buildin a big block

Might be worth something to Stock eliminator racers if they are all untouched stock cores.

Advertise them on classracer.com in the classifieds there.
