So where do I go about finding a CTS-V oil pan? I guess I never asked if mailibu's are identical to montes..? I just assume that what works for them, works for my monte. I want to be positive that this will work before I swap my motor in. Also, if I keep the truck intake on, can I modify it enough to clear my hood without without issue and without cutting the hood in any way? Let me know, Thanks.

Sam
Get over to LS1tech.com and register there if you havent already. Great site!

Heres all the info on the oil pans including the CTS-V pan. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=817787
Check the classifieds there, they pop up from time to time. Otherwise, you can order all the parts from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com.

Malibu's are the same as a Monte except for mounting holes for the 2004R crossmember on the later year monte's. So nothing at all for you to worry about.

I would be nervous trying to get the truck intake to fit if you went with the BRP mounts as they are higher than most other mounts. I am not 100% sure if the intake clears a stock hood even with the mounts I used as I have a 2" cowl hood.

Phillip should know if the truck intake clears a stock hood! Im guessing it does since i havent heard of any issues from him.

I've not installed the hood yet.

From what I've read, it will clear. If so, it's going to be very close! I think the sticking point was the Alternator. You may have to do some "trimming" on the alternator to clear the stock hood or use the F-body alternator which is a little smaller in diameter but fits the truck bracket.

I'm using a stock Monte Carlo fuel tank for a 1987 model with 4.3 TBI motor.
Using same fuel sending unit/pickup. Replace the low pressure (TBI) fuel pump with in-tank high pressure pump. Fits right in the same sending unit/hanger assembly.

I ran pushlok typ hose from the front to back. You can see pictures and more info here:
