I dont post much on here, I mostly lurk but I've noticed on a lot of forums there is tons and tons of hungry guys looking for info on these swaps...And While im not a pro, I managed to put together a nice street 5.3 version for my 1983 Olds Cutlass.. to replace its 455 gas hog.. My budget was cheap ($1400) and its more fun to drive than with the BBO..

For starters all it takes is 60 bucks you can have these motors bolted in, and coupled to the transmission!!

I used the caddy cts-v oil pan.. which was replaced with the in production LSA or LS9 oil pan for the newer CTS-V with the supercharger.. I grabbed it for $170 on ebay.. totally worth it because it saved me from chopping my stock truck pan up
