T400 or power glide

Hi i'm making a race car from a 78 malibu and trying to fine out which would be better a t 400 of a power glide the car going to be about 2800 lb s with me in it motor is going to be a 6.0 a ford 9" rear asking for you guys input on it Thank you later John

i run a th400 full manual reverse built 3000 stall .. 850HP
