Swap Oil Pan

BRP has a new "swap" oil pan for LSx engines. To me, it looks like the Hummer oil pan. What do you guys think?

If it is, I think you can get it from GM cheaper than BRP.

its a factory GM 5.3 (LH8) oil pan, cost about 100 from GM, plus you need the other small parts, around $160 for everything. Not sure if your gaining anything, its only about .75-1" shorter and the sump maybe 1/2" back.

I went back and found the pictures of your install. How much ground clearance do you have?

After seeing your pictures, I'm worried about my son dragging it. I would be aware of it and careful, but you know how teenagers are....

Wow, I never realized GM had so many pan configurations.

true, Ill go out and measure....

If anything, spend $50.00 and have 1" cut off the bottom of your pan.
