hughes. pete hooked me up with a full manual x series 350 and they offer a nice discount for maliburacing members.
I noticed you got one from them a while back. Is the discount a percentage, or is it a flat amount? I'm sure eventually I'll have to replace the one in my truck after putting the 383 in, which is why I'm asking.

Doober there's a good & cheap TH350 build thread on Hotrodders.com by Jakeshoe. It's good for 600 HP/TQ. >> http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/th350-rebuild-tech-145361.html
There's a TH400 build thread also.
His site has TH2004R, TH400 etc.. build tips also>> http://www.jakesperformance.com/

The HD Direct Drum w/36 element Sprag & outer Race, T-Brake Vbody etc.. are where the $$ come in.

I had one of those Summit transmissions. I wasn't to impressed. Soft shifts and it started acting funny after the first few passes. Call Redneck! I had my trans done locally with a converter and a 36 element sprag and HD drum from Redneck. Also put in a a low ,reverse sprag from a 700r4. Works fantastic. I think the one from Summit is a warmed over stock rebuild.
