Picked up 89 IROC steering box. Is this a bolt in or do I have to change anything? Putting it in My 78 Full load Bu.

IIRC you have to change the Pittman arm, and since your car is a 78 it has standard power steering lines and the box will be metric. You will need either adapters on your lines or, go the the junk yard where you got the box and get the pump and lines too. Get all of the brackets and pulleys off of it if you can, the wide alt belt setup is far superior to an old V belt.

You will need a pitman arm from a GN or Monte SS, a G body arm from a "800" box.

I had to replace the pitman arm and steering shaft. Both were larger splines on the reman Monte SS/f body box I used. Got a pitman ar and dual u-joint shaft on ebay.
