Quick 4l80 price ?

I have the 4l80 e that came on my 6.0 motor.Its a 99 with about 90,*** miles on it and was told it works fine.Came out of a 2 wd chevy 2500 that was rolled over by the owner then sold for salvage to a guy i know that sold it to me.Just wondering what i should ask for it.Any suggestions.Thanks.

i paid 600 for my 92 model transmission with few miles on a gm rebuild. the junk yard wanted 700-900 for that year with alot more miles. ive seen them on craigslit from 100-500 depending on shape.

Well i was thinking around 250 or so to start out but didnt know what was fair.I paid 1000. for the motor and trans and dont need the trans as im going to a 400 with brake. :mrgreen: Just looking to unload the trans and mabey the injectors and some other stuff off the top of the motor and the couple people i have talked to all want to give me 75.00 for it because of the miles. [-X I would rather keep it for my truck incase i get a blower for it than take 75.00 for it.

I sold a 94 4L80 about a year ago for 350 plus 150 to ship.

I have paid $350 for one and $500 for another. If I where you I would get a trans go shift kit and a manual valve body with a trans brake from CK performance and run the 4l80 unless its a all out drag car. With the parts I listed the trans will be good for 800 hp and you will still have od and a lock up converter.

Hey guys sorry i didnt reply to this thread earlier i just dont look at the transmission section since i found a 400 crossmember and custom built driveshaft from a friend that switched to a powerglide trans.Im switching to a 400 with brake in the bu and plan on keeping the 4l80e for a while in case i try to build my 06 silverado in the future.thanks blue t for the site with 4l80 parts i might check them out for a rebuild if i build my truck.Im thinking a supercharger and small cam and 2600 or so converter would make my short bed standard cab 2 wd 5.3 silverado haul ### and still be able to pull a trailer and look stock.

If you rebuild the trans send it to Jim at Transformance in GA. He has done some high hp cars that are daily drivers.

I am a rookie and am not trying to hijack this thread but whats better about a 4180 than a 700r4?
