Diggin this post up from the dead. A word to the alky racers. My brother bought some of those Quick Fuel bowls with the dual sight windows and put them on right before he sent his Holley 950HP to Rupert for a tune up. George calls him and tells him he doesn't like those bowls, to change them out with the stock ones when he got it back. Well, my brother didn't do it, and just raced it. Kinda was running funny, so took the carb apart, and low and behold, the bowls he was told to take off, were just full of weird stuff. Cleaned it all up, and put the stockers on finally as he was told. Car started up and ran great again. He should have listened to George but he didn't. So if you're on alky, stick with stock holley bowls. I pulled my carb apart, just to double check, and it was pristine inside.

As I said earlier I was advised to buy one from APD or Rupert. I have APD on both my cars w/ no problems and I think this post is 3 years old.
