I've been looking at Prochargers and I keep hearing about "reverse chargers". what is it and what does it gain?

just means reverse rotation....just the way the blower spins...as would be the case for a blower unit like the one in the pics above that has the inlet facing to the front of the car....

i think i'm getting it, but if i'm wrong correct me.
its just a reverse mounting, like, it gets flipped over pretty much, the blades dont rotate in the reverse direction

It is a different blower. You can take a standard rotation blower and turn it around and spin it backwards like this setup is.
