Ill run it and toss it if it does start to slip, but the cones look like new and I plan putting a small tack weld on the outer shell where its bolted toghter, If my stock s clip posi is holding up this has to be an upgrade.

do you have any pictures of the caprice rear end installed? also what did you do to put it in your wagon?
anybody know where I can get a posi and 3.73 gears for my 1980 Malibu? I was told with my almost stock rebuilt 350 I don't need to upgrade to 8.5,instead beef up my factory rear.
check the junkyards. i found a 7.5 posi in a elcomino. bought a richmond 3.73 gear set. hasn't broken yet.malibooyah said:

The caprice rear is about 1" wider than the A body rear which is 1.5" wider than a g-body rear
The upper ears are way wider than a or g body you would def need some custom upper arms
I never took an Auburn unit apart do you pull the end plate off it or leave it together and work it like an eaton
