I could be wrong, but if my recollection of the Super Duty scoops is correct, it won't be big enough to use any sort of decent air cleaner that won't be too small...

I read somewhere that the Super Duty scoop was a knock off of the f-o-r-d 8-[ commercial truck scoop from back then. I've seen a few of those on some farm trucks and there is quite likely something to the rumor.

If you use a "WFO" or "Blockers" drop base TA air cleaner assembly with a regular 70-76 TA scoop you could get a decent size filter. If you use a "Dude Scoop" taller than stock fiberglass scoop you can get a bigger opening for the air inlet. The 77-81 TA shakers are shorter than the earlier ones do you probably don't want that style.

The early 2nd gen TA scoops have a rounded appearance that might look out of place on a G body. How about a 69-70 Mustang shaker? It's a little more square.

That's It..........'68 dart barracuda scoop.

That is about the right size and shape I was after too.

I am thinking about having a local HVAC sheetmetal guy fab it up, it will fit my image better with a few seams, rivets, and hard corners.

They also have a 5" available.

Would really look good and no cracking with inside lip.

Be sure to make the two or three upright supports to keep it from lifting off the hood. These things catch a LOT of air.
