Headman husler 65218 fitment issues

I have a 79 Malibu with a 350 and a th350 trans. After having issues getting my old hooker long tube headers #2451 to seal to my brodix ik200s I decided to buy some higher quality and I figured better fitting headers. The passenger side header fits in the hole but barely touches the lower control arm bracket. I knew this was a common problem other guys have had. I can fix this. But the drivers side wouldn't even fit in the hole wo cutting the ear off the transmission. (Glad I don't run a dust shield). But once it was in the hole it's hitting the lower control arm bracket so bad that if the bracket was non existent they may bolt up. Maybe.... Has anyone else had a prob like this? And what should I do? I have a 7 week deadline and I'm not set up to fab at my home garage. I do not want to start hacking up a 300$ header that was supposed to fit directly in the car.
