I HAVE DONE THE CORRECT WIRING THAT IS ON THE SITE HERE TO GET THE WIRES SWITCHED.I HAVE DONE IT ON SEVERAL V8S-V6'S ARE A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED,HERE IS WHAT I GOT GOING ON:
THE GAS GAUGE WORKS
THE ALT GAUGE WORKS
EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FINE:
THE TEMP GAUGE-I HAVE HAVE CHANGED THE SENDING UNIT IN THE BLOCK AND THE SWITCH IN THE MANIFOLD BOTH TO GAUGE FROM LIGHT-AM I MISSING ANYTHING.STILL NOT WORKING.
THE OIL GAUGE-I KNOW THAT FROM THE FACTORY ON A MANUAL/AUTO V6 CAR THEY PUT THE SENDING UNIT DOWN BY THE OIL FILTER,AND THE SWITCH BEHIND THE DISTRIBUTOR,WELL I GOT THE CORRECT SENDER,BUT THE LITTLE ELBOW THAT I NEED FOR A MANUAL CAR TO MAKE THE SENDER FIT IS DISCONTINUED AND I SPENT HOURS AT THE HARDWARE STORE TRYING TO FIND AND 45 DEGREE ELBOW THAT WOULD GET THE SENDER OUT OF THE WAY OF THE CLUTCH LINKAGE,I FOUND ONE FOR AND AUTO,BUT NOT A MANUAL.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAP INTO THE BROWN WIRE THAT GOING TO THE SWITCH,AND PUT THE SENDING UNIT BEHIND THE DISTRIBUTOR,LIKE ON A V8,AND RUN A WIRE FROM WHERE I TAPPED INTO THE BROWN WIRE TO THE SENDING UNIT?(BECAUSE THE SWITCH HAS TWO PRONGS,AND THE SENDER HAS ONE,AND I KNOW THAT ONE OF THE WIRES GOES TO THE CHOKE HEATER,I THINK THE BLUE ONE.)- UPDATED-TRIED THAT AND NOTHING.
IS THERE SOMETHING I AM MISSING SOMEWHERE,I NEVER HAD AN ISSUES,THIS A FIRST WITH ALL THIS V6 STUFF,AND THERE IS MORE WIRING THAN A V8,DO I NEED TO CONNECT TWO WIRES?DO I LEAVE ONE OUT?
