Does PCM need oil pressure reading?

Question: Is it necessary to connect the oil pressure sending unit to the PCM? I was planning on just removing the sending unit and using an adapter fitting to install a mechanical gauge. But, I wanted to make sure it is not going to cause any issues with the PCM.

I'm almost positive it does unless your tuner removed that input from the tables in the PCM.....

lol follow the voices of experience......the only LS engine I own or have owned is the one in my truck.....I can change the oil

Im not running mine, I think its just a signal for the computer to put a value to for the factory gauge. I just took the top off the factory sender and drilled-tapped for a regular mech gauge
