circuit breaker question...

getting ready to do some wiring and been looking at, wiring products.com. they have all the stuff you would need but don't know about their prices. don't really want to use the low end wire so guess I will have to bite the bullet and pay up. now to the question, they have big amp circuit breakers (50/150) that I was thinking about putting inline with the trunk mounted battery line, but don't know what amperage to go with. all are the same price but that may not be the deciding factor, need to know what would be the correct part to use. don't really know how many amps the starter pulls under load. thanks for any and all help...wannabe

You cant put a fuse or a breaker on a starter, they pull too many amps. Waste of time.

You don't use any protection on the main line. You use fusible links, breakers & fuses to serve the accessory circuits.
