Didn't anybody read all the problems everybody is having with the brackets and the upper control arm mounts not lining up with QP rear ends? It's cheap crap. You get what you pay for. Buy from Currie or Moser and rest assured you have something nice.
I have a quick performance ford 9" in my car and didn't have any of these problems your saying? The only issues I had was the lower shock mounts. A quick "tweak" and they are fine.

No problem, I'm just trying to find out if anyone has any hands-on or 2nd hand experience with the forces on those ears. We have a welder so making the brackets aren't that big of a deal, the biggest cost will probably be shortening whatever rear I would get, and mounts/brackets.

Interesting, didn't know the Blazers had a panhard bar, I did know about the 8.5", slightly considered it as an option quite some time ago.

I bit the bullet on a craigslist 8.5 a short time ago, it looks to be an '84 (true to the ad). Open 3.08, but the gears/carrier aren't what I'm really after. I plan on shortening it to stock length with G-Body shock/trailing arm mounts at the least, and if the upper arms don't work out for geometry I will be trying this 3-link/watts link setup once I get more information on arm length, etc.

Doober, tinkering is cool. Have fun, but keep in mind, most 3 links mount the parallel arms on the axle tube centerlines or below, not above. You're kind of building it upside down. Fays makes a Watts linkage for G bodies, which is a better design than a Panhard bar.

I found the Fays2 link quite a while back.

3-link bars: really? Most everything I've found online shows them about where I'm considering putting them.
