285/40-17 Anyone?

Who's running them? Post up some pics if anyone is? Seems like NO ONE has them on a G-body.

According to the tire calculator (sticky) it is very similar to the 275/50/15 as far as actual size goes.

Mmmmm yes there is, but I was talking about the height from ground to top of tire and then from sidewall to sidewall it is close to what I posted.

Huh? No the sidewalls aren't even close.

50 series vs. 40 = not even close sidewalls.

I'm not worried about fitment, If I would've wanted to see a 275/50-15 or know if they'll fit, I would've done a search.

I want to see how they (285/40-17) LOOK like on a Malibu/G-Body.

:roll: I didn't know trying to explain from sidewall to sidewall (the WIDTH) of the tire was so darn DIFFICULT! I didn't say anything about sidewall height.





From the back it would look like a 11" tire and from the side it would look like a 17" rim with 4.5" sidewall. (from tread to rim bead)


This might be easier to get someone to post pics of what the side view would LOOK like. 17" rim with 4.5" sidewall
