I have 15x7x8 1988 iroc rims looking for some mt street dot tires what size tire should i go with?

sorry it is et street radial. my rim says 15x7x8 is there somthing else I should look for? the sizes that they list on there site are 275x60x15 or 235x60x15 or 275x50x15
i would say either of the first two, although the 275 may be a little much on the 7" rim...but i have did it before...its not all that bad. alot depends on the setup... gear ratio ...etc

these the 15" i assume? 'cause my 16" irocs are 8" wheels, and i got a pair of 26x11.50x16 for them...i just hope it all clears with the 12 bolt. we'll see, thats next on the list after the wiring is done.

Those wheels are 7's x 15...I wouldn't put too big a tire on there. The backspace is 4.25" FYI.
Also, would you be looking to rotate the tires? If so I guess you'll want to keep to one size. If not, and you want to go larger in the rear, you might have to resort to wheel spacers. I'm thinking no wider than a 245/60 in the rear. I would suggest bringing it into your favorite tire dealer and have him test fit a few sizes before purchasing them.

Thanks for enlighting me on the backspace....So with that much if i was him i would go with the 235 he mentioned

I think he'd be safe going with a 235/60's, or equivalent. The 235 still comes pretty close to the frame rails, but they do clear..
IMO, if the wheels had less BS, he could esily put some larger meats on there...like a 3.50-3.75 backspace. But again, with 7" wide rims, there's a limit.

If they're 15" they're the standard IROC rims. They were the same as the previous Z28 alloy wheel until the Z28 was dropped in '88 and the IROC became the only "performance" package on the Camaro. The 16" x 8" wheels that used to be standard on the IROC became an option in '88. They had 245/50 R16 tires from GM.
