Since I broke some of the screw tabs on the gauge cluster, pulled one out of my parts supply. I painted it with SEM light oak and started the installation process.
Worked on cleaning up my Vortec heads I got for free I already bought LS6 springs and Comp Cams retainers so they can handle more lift without machining. Have one all disassembled, cleaned, and watching paint dry now. Hopefully get the other to that point tomorrow and assemble them Sunday!
The steering column had a very loose tilt. I decided to put a column shift column in until I figure out how to fix their issues. I started painting the column so it will match the interior.
I figured out that the sloppy Buick column didn't have a race inside the bearing. I found one in my supply and installed it. I also found a cap with a hole in it. I put it over the steering shaft. It is no longer sloppy.
My glovebox didn't have a cable to stop everything from being dumped out. I made one using weedwacker plastic and automotive wire stud hoop ends. It's working now and time will tell how it will work.
