Looking to get a new ultra holley Dominator 1150. Right now I have a 1050 3 circuit but this spring going to install a new trans with a brake , so is a 2 circuit or 3 better, for the brake? Specs 540 BBC afr 325 heads solid roller cam 3800 stall, 350 gear.

I may be wrong, but if you're leaving on a trans brake, you're already at WOT, so unless the car will be expected to be street driven I would think you can save the money and just get a 2 circuit.

I have a 3 circuit 1150 on mine. But what is the rest of the combo? Why is the converter stall so low?

I've never run a 2 circuit dominator, all have been 3 circuit. I've used from a 1050 to a 1250 to a 2.40" billet main body dominator.

Pro systems has a good write up on 2 vs 3 circuit carbs. Started with a 3 circuit gas carb on my car and went to a 2 circuit sv1 alky carb and did not tell much if any difference on the brake.
