John, the 4-cyl/V6 ratios are not much better than the 3 speed Saginaw. First gear was commonly 4.03:1. Other offerings were 3.76:1 and 3.50:1.

I'm an aircraft design engineer in Wichita, KS. The problem is that my employer (Boeing) is shutting down its Wichita facility. Some local companies are hiring and I've had a few interviews but haven't quite landed anything. Still hopeful though.
I used to work there, they have a plant in Wichita and we make components for boeing. Im a mechanical designer, I used to design the landing, taxing, and nav lights aling with the interior lights for the boeing jets.
