I run a custom T56 so I would go with the TKO if those were the only 2 choices

Overdrive will make it much more highway-friendly.

Do you mean M22?

M23 is a "new updated" version on the M22

Yup. AGE now calls their redisegned Muncies "Syracuse" 4 speeds. The M23 is the severe duty version.

After a lot of soul searching I am moving away from my M21 to a Legend LGT700. I looked at a lot of the other 5 speeds. Seems most don't like high rpm shifts, have synchro issues with fast shifts and just don't drive like a Muncie. The Legend seems to answer all those issues. After driving one I wholeheartedly recommend it. After you get done spending the money to modify the production style 5 speeds you're only a little bit away from the Legend.

I have a TKO600 mechanical linkage old style Chevy Lakewood bell housing not the odd ball Malibu one. Home made crossmember I think my motor is lower in the back than it was with the Muncie because the TKO is really close to the trans tunnel. TKO doesn't shift as good as the Muncie did but it doesn't sound like the rods are going to fly out of the motor driving on the highway either.

G body linkage probably has a extra hole drilled in it. Std Chevy Lakewood bellhousing and fork. Bucket seats.
