I have a friend of mine that has a 2000 s-10 that he bracket races in a street class. He asked me about raising the shift points on the transmission as he leaves the truck in drive and lets the transmission shift on its own. I took a look at it the other day and tv cable was just cut. I was going to just put another tv cable on it and let it roll but I was thinking that I want the tv pressure to be the same all the time. So i shimmed the tv valve into the valve body and it did raise the shift points. What im looking for is someone that has maybe played with the governor weights and springs to help me along on the guessing game im about to play.

The B&M 20248 governor recalibration kit is well worth the investment and will make your life a lot easier. Should be able to achieve everything you need with that kit.

I saw that kit and I ordered it. You wouldnt happen to have a weight/spring combination to get this transmission to shift about 5800 to 6000 would you? 3.73 rear gear and a 28 inch tire. I know its going to be a mph deal. If not I will play with the weights .
