Which flywheel will be better for a street car aluminum or steel I got a chance to buy a good USED Hays Aluminum flywheel for $130 but have heard that aluminum flywheels don't work good in street cars that weight more than 3000 lbs and my car weights like 3500 lbs so which is a better choice for the street and cruising my car has a SBC 350 with 402 HP/418 lb ft and a Munchie 4 speed with 342 gears.

An aluminum flywheel is a nice novelty because you get a fast rev but I wouldnt recommend one if you arnt going to be racing. A flywheel stores momentum which is transferred to the rest of the drivetrain when the clutch is engaged. If there is less coming from the flywheel, it has to be made up for by spinning the rpms higher to keep the engine from bogging down during clutch engagement.
