I'm kinda stuck with what to do for my blown up turbo 350. I spent around $850 to get it built with decent parts about 3 years ago. My car runs 10.90's and has run 9.8 with a 200 shot on my 489 BBC. I use 3.50 gears and i really like them. I emailed coan racing and they told me i need about $1225 worth of race parts (not including the regular rebuild parts) to make my turbo 350 live and be reliable with 800 or more hp. So to get the parts and get my transmission built again will likely cost me $2000. I've also looked into running a glide but all transmission builders have said that my car will not benefit from a glide. Probably because of the 3.50 gears, 3000 stall and 3280 pound race weight. The thing that bugs me is a a $2000 glide will probably handle 1500 hp but a $2000 turbo 350 will probably only handle 900. If i switch out my engine in the next few years to a 540 or bigger then the glide may be as quick as the turbo 350 and alot more reliable. Should i spend the money on the glide or my turbo 350?
